Draft minutes of October 2021 meeting

Draft minutes of Stirchley Forum meeting, held on 11th October 2021 at 7.30pm online by Zoom, are available here.

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting. There was plenty discussed, including Clonmel Road Business Centre, former Magnet premises and plans for two Telecommunications monopoles expected to be installed in the area.

The next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting, taking place on Monday 8th November 2021.

October Forum Meeting

The Forum committee had planned that this meeting would be hybrid (in person and online) unfortunately this won’t be possible this month. This meeting will again be on Zoom.

The Forum is aware that there has been an planning application to install a telephone mast in the Ward and another application is on its way. The Forum doesn’t at present have a view or policy on this matter. This could be discussed at the meeting.

Our November meeting is our AGM. Please consider putting yourself forward to join the Forum Committee. Further information will be available at this month’s meeting.

September’s agenda and previous minutes

In September you get two for the price of one! As well as the usual Forum meeting Karen Cheney will be leading the selection process for the first part of the Celebrating Communities Fund (info after agenda here).

For this meeting we will be trying something different in that Rob Morris (our Chair) and some of the Committee members will be in the hall whilst everyone else is on Zoom. This is to enable us to try out the technology with a view to having hybrid meetings (in the Hall and on Zoom) going forward.

There is a special item on the Agenda this month as the Forum has been made aware of a proposal to move the post office currently on the corner of Dogpool Lane further up Pershore Road to the Nisa store (almost opposite the BP garage). There is an opportunity to make your views known.

Although it is not in Stirchley we know that many Stirchley residents will be interested in (and affected by) development of the former Fitness First site. A planning application has been lodged and can be found here.
