Increase in vehicle crime

PCSO Jenene Tandy (Birmingham West, Selly Oak constituency, Bournville ward) has advised that the ward has experienced higher than normal levels of vehicle crime over the last few days.

Offenders have approached both secure and insecure vehicles and gained entry. Once inside, an untidy search has taken place with various items, including electrical goods and small change, taken.

Targeted areas have been Acacia Road, Oxford Street, Linden Road, Franklin Road, and Bunbury Road.

They are reminding motorists not to leave anything of value in their vehicles or on display that may tempt a potential offender.
